삶의 기준 바꾸기 2 갈림길에 선 두사람

함께 고향을 떠나 동행 했던 삼촌과 조카가 문제 가운데 이제 갈라서야 하는 시기가 되었습니다. 갈라서는 것이 다투는 것 보다 나은 방법이라고 여겼습니다. 그것은 두 사람이 지역은 갈라져도 서로 원수가 되지 않기 위해서 입니다. 삼촌 아브라함은 조카 롯 에게 좋은 것을 선택할 수 있는 기회를 줍니다. 롯은 좋은 땅을 선택해 나아갔고, 아브라함은 광야를 바라보고 있습니다. 아브라함은 하나님의 지시를 기다리고 있습니다. 그것은 하나님께서 말씀하신 “지시하실 땅”을 기다리는 것입니다. 우리 삶의 기준 역시 말씀을 통해 주시는 약속을 믿는 것에 있어야 합니다. 그 방법은 욕심이 아닙니다. 그 방법은 양보와 사랑 입니다. 우리 눈에 보이는 것이 전부가 아닙니다. 사람이 억지로 하나님의 약속을 이룰 수 없습니다. 때로는 실수가 있어도, 또 어리석은 결정처럼 보여도 하나님께서는 그것을 들어 사용하십니다. 하나님께서 하실 수 있도록 우리의 기준을 내려 놓는 것 그것이 그리스도인이 할 가질 수 있는 가장 위대한 삶의 기준 입니다. 하나님의 약속은 그런 아브라함에게 이루어졌습니다. 그는 민족을 이루었고, 믿음의 조상이 되었습니다. #2.Two people at arossroad An uncle a nephew left their hometown together and they arrive at the time when they have to go their own ways. They determined that it was wise to split up because they didn’t want to fight. They figured that being apart was better than becoming an enemy. Uncle Abraham gave his nephew Rot a good chance to make a choice. Rot wanted a good piece of land and Abraham was looking out to a wild plain. Abraham was waiting for God’s signal. In other words, he was waiting for “the land”. In our lives we should believe in the promises that God presents us through his words. We should not be greedy but be loving and understanding. What we see isn’t everything. It is impossible to fulfill God’s promises against his will. Sometimes it may seem not promising but he takes this opportunity to fulfill his will. As a good Christian what we can do is to put down our judgmental attitude so that he can work through us. God fulfilled his promises to Abraham. Abraham build a civilization and became an ancestor of all believers.
