다만 하나님을 거역하지 말자

가나안 땅을 정탐 했었던 12명중 10명은 정복 불가능을 주장 했고 단 2명 만이 정복 가능을 주장 했습니다. 다수결의 원칙으로 볼 때10:2 인 것 입니다. 그들은 가나안 땅을 목표로 해서 광야를 건너 왔습니다. 그런데 목적지 앞에서 문제가 생긴 것입니다. 10명의 주장은 사실 이었습니다. 가나안 인들은 크고 강한 사람들이었습니다. 전쟁을 하면 질 수 밖에 없는 상황을 바로 본 것입니다. 반면 여호수아와 갈렙은 지나친 이상 주의자 같아 보입니다. 도무지 이룰 수 없는 일을 주장 하는 것 같아 보입니다. 이성적인 10명의 사실적 보고가 만들어 낸 것이 있습니다. 그것은 두려움에 통곡,원망, 그리고 후회 입니다.(민14:2) 그것은 조직의 목표를 한 순간에 무너뜨리는 것이었습니다. 이 때여호수아와 갈렙은 호소 합니다. “여호와를 거역 하지 말라” 만일 그리스도인이 눈에 보이는 것으로 모든 것을 판단 한다면 하나님의 역사를 이룰 수 없습니다. 여호수아와 갈렙은 당장 눈 앞에 보여지는 불 가능 한 일을 바로 인식 하면서도 그것을 가능 하게 하시는 보이지 않는 더 강한 하나님을 바라보고 있었던 것입니다. 하나님의 목표를 바라보고 있었던 것입니다. 때문에 그 하나님의 목표를 거슬릴 수 없었습니다. 교회 조직 속에서 하나님을 제외한다면 교회는 존재의 가치를 잃어 버립니다.하나님을 제외한 목표는 불 확신 속에서 상처만 남기게 됩니다. 여호수아와 갈렙이 그전에 하나님께서 보여주신 기적들을 업신여기지 않은 것 처럼 교회를 세우시고 초 자연적으로 인도해 가시는 하나님의 기적을 무시 하면 안 된다는 것입니다. 이제 베다니 교회 성도들은 교회를 통해서 이루시는 하나님의 능력을 체험 하시기를 축복합니다. Out of twelve spies who investigated the Land of Promise, ten claimed that it is impossible to conquest the Land of Promise. And only two claimed the chance. According to the majority rule it was 10 to 2. They walked across the barren land for the purpose to claiming the Land of Promise. They faced the problem right in front of their goal. The claim of the 10 spies was true. Ghanaians were large and strong. It seemed right that they were going to lose if there was a fight. However Joshua and Carlep seems to be extreme idealists. They want to achieve the impossible. Ten rational spies’ claim resulted in fear, wail, resentment and regrets. And all the things above destroyed the group’s goal at once. Here Joshua and Caleb begs not to disobey God. If a Christian judges a situation based on what is seen, he or she cannot achieve God’s work. Joshua and Caleb comprehended the unlikelihood of achieving the work, but they were also able to see powerful God who makes impossible possible. Their focus was on God’s goal. Therefore they could not disobey his work. If we exclude God with in a church organization the church loses its purpose of being. The goal without God is likely to fail. Like Caleb and Joshua who valued the miracles that God had shown them we should not disobey God who builds the church and leads with supernatural powers.
