그는 흥하여야 하겠고 나는 쇠하여야 하리라

예수님께서 침례 요한에게 침례를 받으셨습니다. 권위로 보면 당연히 침례 요한이 예수님에게 침례를 받아야만 했습니다. 하나님께서는 질서를 세우시기를 원하고 계십니다. 모든 것을 적당하게 하고 질서대로 하라 (고린도전서 14:40) 그것은 다윗이 사울을 통해 유지했던 질서 입니다. 하지만 사울은 사무엘을 통한 질서를 무시한 결과로 하나님에게 버림을 받게 됩니다. 사실 질서라는 것은 사회를 유지시켜 나가는 가장 기본 단위 입니다. 부모와 자식간에 수평적인 질서가 강조 된다면 과연 어떻게 되겠는가? 교회 역시 하나님께서 세우신 질서를 지켜나가는 것이 기본이 되어야 합니다. 그것이 바로 하나님을 경외 하는 것입니다. 바울을 통해 하나님께서 교회의 질서를 주셨습니다. 하나님이 교회 중에 몇을 세우셨으니 첫째는 사도요 둘째는 선지자요 세째는 교사요 그 다음은 능력이요 그 다음은 병 고치는 은사와 서로 돕는 것과 다스리는 것과 각종 방언을 하는 것이라 /고린도전서 12:28 “그는 흥하여야 하겠고 나는 쇠하여야 하리라” 하나님의 질서를 지키기 위해 침례 요한은 철저히 자신을 버렸습니다. 이처럼 하나님의 질서를 지킨다는 것은 자기 자신을 하나님의 법 아래 굴복 시키는 것입니다. 하나님께서 주신 교회의 질서 속에서 은혜와 행복과 성장이 모두에게 있기를 소망합니다 (John 3:22-30) Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. It seemed more right from an authoritarian point of view for John to be baptized by Jesus. However, John followed God’s rules and orders. God wants everything in order. But be sure that everything is done properly and in order. (Corinthians 14:40) The order was maintained by David through Saul. However, Saul ignored the rules and orders given by Samuel so he was punished by God. In fact, rules and orders are the most fundamental components in maintaining a society. What would happen if parents and children had the same power in a family? In church, it is most important to maintain God’s orders. Here are list of some of the members that God has placed in the body of Christ: First are apostles, Second are prophets, There are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing those who can help others, those who can get others to work together those who in unknown languages. Corinthians 12:28 “He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less” Baptist John completely sacrificed himself to maintain God’s order. Likewise, following God’s orders means to lower oneself in front of God’s rules. Within God’s orders in the church may grace, happiness, and growth be with all of you.
