더 나은 선택

예수님을 집에 모셔서 제대로 대접하고픈 마음에 바쁜 언니 마르다 와는 달리 동생 마리아는 예수님의 옆에 앉아서 말씀을 들었습니다. Mary’s sister Martha’s mind was busy to invite Jesus Christ for her guest and serve him well at her home.. However, her sister Mary was different. She was sitting right next to Jesus Christ and listen his words carefully. 결국 마르다는 동생 때문에 예수님께 불평을 하게 됩니다. 예수님을 모셔 기뻐해야 할 상황이 갈등으로 변한 것입니다. Finally Martha complained to Jesus Christ because of her sister. She supposes to be happy to invite Jesus Christ but it created more conflicts. 마르다는 자기 중심적으로 일을 했습니다. 예수님께서 무엇을 원하시는지 알기보다는 자신의 만족에 더 열심을 내었습니다. Martha worked according to her self-centered mind. She put all her efforts to satisfy herself rather than to find out what Jesus Christ wants. 내가 주님께 만족을 드리려는 신앙인이 가진 문제는 갈등 입니다. The conflict is the problem which the believer has and the believer who want to satisfy the Lord. 주님이 원하시는 일을 하기 보다는 내가 좋아하는 일을 하려고 합니다. We do the work what we like to do rather than the work what the Lord want. 내 생각과 다르게 주님이 하라 하시는 일을 해야 될 때 갈등은 더욱 심해 집니다. There will be more conflicts if we have to do the work what the Lord want not what we want. 마르다는 육의 양식을 대접하려 했고, 마리아는 영의 양식을 받으려 했습니다. Martha was trying to serve the actual food. However, Mary was trying to get a spiritual food. 둘 다 중요하지만, 선택에 있어서 마리아의 선택이 더 귀한 것이었습니다. Both of them were important, but, Mary’s choice was more precious. 내가 판단의 중심이 되는 신앙은 오히려 하나님의 뜻을 거역하게 만듭니다. The faith which was judged by self–centered mind can be against the will of God. 그리고 더 잘못된 결정을 내리게 되는 요인이 됩니다. It might be the reason to make a decision wrongly. 사람은 누구나 욕망을 가지고 있습니다. 그리고 열심히 살고 있습니다. All human beings have all kinds of desires and carrying on their lives. 그러나 그리스도인은 하나님의 뜻과 은혜 속에 살아가려는 욕망과 열정이 있어야 합니다. However, a Christian should have a desire and passion to live the life under the blessing and will of God.
